Moments Between Breaths: Rediscovering Presence
Breath awareness is one of the simplest ways to reconnect with yourself and find calm throughout the day.
Most of us move through the day without noticing how we breathe. Our breath carries us from one moment to the next — quietly, automatically — until stress, distraction, or emotion pulls us out of rhythm.
The practice of breath awareness invites us to pause and reconnect. By simply noticing the inhale and exhale, we begin to soften tension, calm the nervous system, and return to the present.
Science now confirms what ancient practices like Reiki healing have long known: mindful breathing lowers cortisol, supports heart health, and improves focus. Even a few slow breaths can reset the body’s stress response and help reduce stress naturally.
